The latest schedule for curated trips to Italy: Here's the "scoop!"
We’re delighted to announce a new service from Moore Brothers Wine Company in partnership with Erica Plotegher, founder of ECA Travel Consulting to provide our customers curated trips to visit our producers and the cultures where the wines evolve.
Erica is a U.S. – based, Italian native with over 25 years of travel and event planning experience who will travel with the groups (limited to 14 people), with stays at the magnificent agriturismi of Fattoria Corzano e Paterno in Tuscany and either Paitin or Cascina Rabelot Agriturismo in Piemonte.
Spending four nights in Tuscany, and four nights in Piemonte, the group will visit our producers and major sites in Florence, Alba and Barolo with a travel day through Liguria, and Cinque Terre.
Itinerary, travel arrangements, winery, and restaurant visits planned by Erica Plotegher of ECA Travel Consulting, and David Moore of Moore Brothers Wine Company.
The trip begins in Tuscany with a four-night stay at the magnificent agriturismo at Fattoria Corzano e Paterno. Here the Gelpke / Goldschmidt family produce beautiful wines, olive oils, and some of Europe’s most distinctive cheeses. There will be stunning views in any direction you look, with lots of land to explore. Walk with the sheep, visit the dairy and winery, and dine on local, authentic Tuscan foods.
Visit Florence, Siena and Montalcino with Erica as your host, and learn to cook local specialties. Visit Poggio al Sole in the Classico zone’s highest hillsides for a tasting and tour and then visit the historic town of San Gimignano.
On your way to Piemonte you'll travel the Ligurian Coast with a stop in Cinque Terre, and a view of spectacular scenery.
Begin a four-night stay in Barbaresco at the beautifully appointed agriturismo at the Cascina Rabelot Agriturismo.
Wine tastings include a visit to the Almondo winery (Arneis and Roero). We will also enjoy a lunch at Serralunga’s famed “Centro Storico,” a stop for many of Europe’s greatest wine producers.
We have arranged for biking through small villages, as well as the opportunity to learn all things Truffle. We’ve also arranged for free time and shopping in Alba, as well as visits to the UNESCO World Heritage sites in the Barolo hills.
There will be assistance with air travel arrangements through ECA Travel Consulting.
Please contact Erica Plotegher directly for more in-depth information regarding this trip.
