A (by no means complete) map of notable vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet
Just next door and south of Meursault, the tiny village of Puligny-Montrachet is home to four Grand Cru
and thirteen Premier Cru
vineyards (two of the Grand Cru, Les Montrachet
are shared with the village of Chassagne-Montrachet
just next door). The most important vineyards are near the top of the hill. These are the vineyards that mark the Chardonnay grown within with the typical "steely" characteristic for which the town is famous.
