I think we’re gonna blush.
Whenever folks in the Philly market ask “How’re you doing up in New York“?
Greg and I always talk about how engaged and interested the customers seem by our wines, our staff, our ridiculously beautiful space, our events, our prices – just everything.
UPDATE! Three years running!
Well, today, the ZAGAT New York City Market Place shopping guide for 2007-2008 just named us “highest rated” in every category:
Top Service Rating (29 out of a possible 30)
Best Buys
Shopping by Location; Flatiron/Union Square (29)
Best Overall in Wines (28 for quality, display and service)
and one of the three “best overall” shopping experiences in Manhattan.
We couldn’t be happier, and we thank all of our NYC customers for this honor.
I’m not surprised, but very very proud of you guys!
Kudos…for a very well deserved recognition. You’re a classy outfit. We love to visit & tell our friends about your great store. Wishing you continued success.
Congratulations, and continued success! I’ve shared the secret with many friends in the NYC area, and none have been disappointed.
Thank you for not only sponsoring the wine at the Hospice affair, but personally letting me taste each wine! You are the best, and I shall continue to buy at your most knowledgeable store!
Zagat got this right. I have been a customer of Moore Brothers for some time. They never disappoint me. They have the best Quality Price Ratio wines anywhere. Granted I cannot get the Wine Spectator’s top 10 list at Moore Brothers, but I can get excellent, approachable, quality, reasonably priced wines that I can DRINK not just store in my cellar for 20 years. I love this store. I find their staff most knowledgable and the store is nice and cool (55 deg) all the time.
Steve,
Thank you for your very kind comments. We’ll keep trying to earn the trust.
