Moore Brothers Wine Company is looking for a few good people to fill out the part and full-time schedules in our New York, New Jersey, and Delaware locations. We’re particularly interested in self-directed, mature people who are curious about history, culture, and who love wine and food.

The job requires some “heavy lifting” (a case of wine weighs about 40 pounds), an attention to detail (we use lots of custom software, but don’t be afraid, we use Macs here, so the computer skills are pretty easy to learn), and a desire to learn and teach new ways of thinking about wine.

The stores are sometimes “fast and furious,” but often relatively quiet, which allows for a lot of give-and-take about food pairings and technical background on our wines and producers. People with prior restaurant experience are encouraged to apply. The hours are a lot better in this business, there are no chefs throwing pans, and you’ll be surrounded by other “refugees” with sympathetic ears.
