visiting winegrower in new jersey!
By
Jean-François Hebrard (above) comes from a long line of viticultuers and oenologists. Both his grandfather and father were important vinegrowers in Bordeaux, and he carried on the tradition, directing the viticulture and oenology for Château(s) Haut-Brion and Clos Fourtet in Bordeaux, as well as numerous estates in Burgundy and the Rhône.
Since 1999, he has been the managing director of Quinta de la Quietud in the Spanish D.O. of Toro, where he has been working the old “Tempranillo” vines (locally known as Toro) organically with experimentation in biodynamic farming.
We’ve had a number of vintages from this small bodega (the production is below 4,000 cases), and are welcoming Jean-François to Moore Brothers New Jersey for an in-store tasting on:
Saturday, June 14th 2008
12 – 5 PM
7200 N. Park Drive, Pennsauken, NJ
Come on our, if you’re in town!
Too busy to make it to today’s wine tasting, but I thought you’d find this interesting…
