Susan and I work like lunatics – lots of travel between cities – and rarely see each other between Mondays and Thursdays. This makes it difficult to keep up with the local BYOB scene.
Also, this crazy lifestyle makes it hard to keep up with old friends and family, but this past Monday Katherine and I had a chance to catch up for the first time in nearly two years! We headed into downtown Haddonfield, and had a wonderful dinner at duo, an Italian BYO I hadn’t visited in nearly 3 years. It’s come a long way since then, and Michael Murray, the owner has done a good job of raising the quality of the food. Particularly good was the fra diablo seafood pasta. It was made even more delicious with the little Château des Hospitaliers 2006 white adding a little fresh, aromatic fruit to balance out the spice.
