Manoir de la Firetière has passed from father to son since 1845. The domaine covers 73 hectares on the schist and shale soils of Lroux-Bottereau, and Landreau. Most of the wines are covered by the Muscadet appellation, but the family has extended the domaine plantings to include varieties such as Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Gris (for whites), as well as Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Gamay (for reds). Each vineyard is vinified separately in the large, modern winery. The domaine practices lutte […]
This is the renamed Domaine Olivier & Anne Marie Rion estate. In addition to his responsibility as chef de cave at Domaine Daniel Rion in Prémeaux, which his father established in 1955, Olivier Rion produces elegant, structured Burgundies from vineyards inherited by his wife Anne-Marie, and parcels they lease, or have purchased in recent years. Domaine Henri Germain was established in 1973 when Henri, brother of François Germain of Château de Chorey les Beaune set out on his own. The Germain wines are not usually flashy, but are classic, long distance runners.
The Poruzots vineyards face south and south-east and […]

Lafon has transformed the vineyards, bringing his experience as an established grower in Burgundy, and now cultivates 13 varieties of vines that are best matched to the local conditions (and traditions).
The grapes for this wine include Grenaches, Syrah, Cincault, and Carginan, farmed organically and hand-harvested from all […]
