…is too polite to “toot his own horn” (at least in public), so I’ll do it for him…
…when he told me he was retiring from 30 years as an English teacher and High-School football coach, I offered him a job on the spot. He’d been drinking copious amounts of Moore Brothers wine since before we were Moore Brothers (he was a denizen of the “Camden Catacombs”), and knew more about the wines than just about anyone here.
“Coach,” as he’s affectionately known, is also a tremendous resource for food and wine pairings (he cooks all the time – when he’s not out to the latest BYOB. He cerrects my seplling (and makes Quixotic attempts to correct my grammar), and is all around, one of our “treasures” here at Moore Brothers.

I know John feels BAD when he is unable to pair a wine with a particular food (which is almost never). He never feels BADLY unless of course, his hands are too cold at a 55 degree store.
