Saturday night, Susan and I had a chance to pair great wine with great food at Bliss in Philadelphia. Chef, Francesco Martorella has been busy adding some of the wines you find at Moore Brothers to his list, and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pair the Clos Baudoin 1989 with Francesco’s Asian spice-infused, seafood.
An incredible King Crab appetizer, followed by his crab cake (hey, I love crab), and drop-dead gorgeous Sea Bass, paired with the “Clos,” was one of the best pairings of the year.
If you’ve ever wondered how we use a wine with rich, sweet flavors and structure (when we’re not having it with foie gras or Roquefort), here you go – seafood with Asian spice – just delicious!
