another great “tasting” weekend
By
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Denis Langue (left) so relaxed. He’s the “business director” for Château Calissanne in Aix-en-Provence – this past weekend he dropped by to help us celebrate the “end-of-winter,” which for us, comes with the annual release of his property’s rosé.
The rosé was the star of the weekend, but there was an enormous amount of interest in the 2001 Clos Victoire (in magnum) – more is on it’s way from the château – what a magnificent tour-de-force that wine is!
Denis was also impressed by the number of young people he met in our New York Store.
Curious, intelligent, and enthusiastic, the young folks who attend our New York tastings bode well for the future of artisan, “Old World” wine. Denis couldn’t be happier.
Thanks to all for coming by.
